  • In 2018 Americans spent $535 billion on prescription drugs which is a 50% increase from 2010.

  • Prices of drugs from 2011 to 2015 increased anywhere from 40% to 70%

  • 1 in 4 Americans with diabetes have practiced insulin rationing

  • Price of insulin has doubles since 2012

  • Antroinette, whose daughter was rationing insulin due to the high cost and died at the age of 22 as a result.

  • Making a year's worth of insulin cost anywhere from $78-$133 but on vial will cost $137

  • Number of advertisements went from 79,000 to 16 million from m1997 to 2016
